General Meeting

REPORTS :

President :                             We had the first 2 teams from NYMWSL to win the National Championship.   Congratulations NYMWSL 30 Plus and NYAC.

Vice President :                     Nothing to report

Secretary :                             Circulated contact and uniform lists to be updated.  

Treasurer :                            See updated report.   Those teams with a credit from last season (CP Rangers White, Kickers 1, NYAC and Vendaval) all prefer to carry balances over to next season.   At next month’s meeting, we will discuss pass status (based on Shawn’s meeting).   By next meeting every team must be paid up. No one can play and registration will be held until everything is balanced.  

Games Commissioner :     

There are 19 teams this season.   9 games/weekend à 9 fields.   Only have enough for 4 games as of now.   No New Utrecht yet – Head custodian retired, can speak with replacement on 9/5.  

AU:                  Kaiser park; going to get permit (2-3 games worth).   Working on Dyker as well.

FCNY:             Nora’s working on it

Appletown:     New player – no idea!

Skullz:             McKay Park, NJ (home and away).   Also looking into Red Hook, though Ingrid assures there is nothing available.

Slackers:        Trying for Pier 40 DUSC.

We need copies of permits soon.   All players should bring permit for E 6^th, just in case. Maybe will get Grand street for 10/7 (night games). Will update schedule as other permits come in.

A Division has 10 teams and B has 9

Any issues – please let Alison know and she will try to accommodate byes/playing the best soccer.   Out next week, will handle permits situation upon return.

League Commissioner :     Not present

Referee Commissioner :    Changes is referee assigning. Jose Vargas will be involved (West Chester League). We need to figure out NJ referees for NYC Skulls games in McCay Park.

Registrar :                             Registration procedures: Just updated all the forms with Shawn’s information.  

§     Next week the registration packets will be ready.  

§     There is a new registration form (see handout) that just needs to be filled out once and does not go to the state anymore (for Shawn’s records).   These need to be filled out by all players; new and returning and then just for new players going forward.  

§     Everyone will be able to download from website and scan and email.   Same Monday through Thursday drop off for info to be ready Friday.  

§      We no longer require proof of social security.

§     Still need 1 color picture for player pass and need to fill out roster at the beginning of the season.  

§     Each time a team registers a new player, the roster must be updated.   You will not get a pass until the roster has been updated.  

§     Please get all registration to Shawn by Sept 9^th.   Emergency registration at Milagros’, if necessary.

Team Reports :

• CP Rangers:   Need players
• FCNY: Received email from FCNY (boys soccer club) saying they cannot use the name w/o written consent (has registered TM).   Might change by adding a W or something on website, but will keep uniforms the same.
• Kickers 1:       Excited to be moving up to A
• Kickers 2:        Holding try-outs (with Kickers 1) on 8/28

§           Magic:          Nino and Lyndelle send love

§           Skulls:          Columbus Day weekend - requesting a late game due to player’s wedding.
